Description
Leverage existing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling (or better) up to 100m to maximize existing networks and equipment. The NIC supports variable speed options (10/100/1000 Mbps) with auto-negotiation and 9K jumbo frames to reduce packet overhead, reducing network slowdowns.
This network adapter leverages the OCP 3.0 standard, a server-specific innovation, that optimizes size and port density while enabling simplified installation, maintenance, and upgrades of Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) through hot swapping. It's designed for the SFF form factor, aligning with W1 4C+ standards. The network adapter is compatible with both TSFF and SFF systems expanding compatibility with different server types.
The Ethernet card supports Intel® vPro™ for remote management and troubleshooting, PXE boot for expedited deployment or updates, and VLAN support for improved traffic management and reduced network congestion. The NIC is compatible with Windows Server, VMware, and Linux and supports Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) to enhance virtual machines' performance with minimal overhead. LAN transformers are included to maintain signal quality and reduce EMI, ensuring reliable communication up to 100m even when using Cat5e.
